Important Leasing Information

Before you arrive at our office to sign your lease:
* At least half of the lessees will need to present at the initial lease signing to consummate a lease agreement although it is best to have everyone present if possible.
* Please note that the first paragraph of our lease (copy available at our office) explains that the total sum of the rent will be paid in twelve equal monthly installments. The lease term is from September 16, 2008 to September 2, 2009 and is 11 1/2 weeks duration. The first full rent payment is due on September 1st, and rental payments are to be paid on the first of each month thereafter through the month of August.
* A guarantor can be a co-signer, or a pre-payment of last month's rent. If you have roommates, you should all agree on which form of guarantor will be returned to our office. Because you are signing a joint and severally liable lease, everyone will have the same form of guarantor.
* A security deposit is just that, a deposit. It is not an advance rental payment and cannot be used towards rent. The security deposit is returned thirty days after lease expiration or delivery of possession of the premises to Lessor, whichever is last to occur.
* Section 4 of the Buckeye Real Estate lease prohibits pets in our apartment homes. This includes visiting pets!
The Buckeye Real Estate Leasing Procedure:
* All Applicants Must: Complete rental applications and pay $10 application fee.
* Provide two photo I.D.s (a state license and school identification are preferred)
* Pay full security deposit - generally equivalent to the monthly rental payment
* Read and sign the lease agreement
* Obtain a co-signer or prepay last month's rent, no exceptions
